North QLD Sheds is a family-owned and operated business run by husband-and-wife team Jay and Kahlina, servicing the Whitsundays and the wider North Queensland region.

Jay brings over 20 years of shed construction experience and deep knowledge of building and project delivery. Kahlina’s background in customer service and administration keeps every project running smoothly, with clear communication and support for clients from first enquiry to handover.

Four years ago the family made the move to the Whitsundays with their three young boys in search of a better lifestyle. Looking for a way to step back from full-time construction, Jay saw an opportunity to combine his building knowledge with supplying EziBuilt shed kits. In the early days the business grew steadily as they learned the sales, administration and design systems. Anyone who has worked outdoors in North Queensland knows how tough the Whitsunday heat can be, so spending less time on the tools and more time helping clients plan their projects became a key goal.

A major turning point came when they partnered with a trusted local builder for construction and Kahlina joined the business to handle enquiries, quotes and client updates. A reliable local concreter Jay had worked alongside previously rounded out a seamless experience from enquiry through to completion. This year has been their strongest yet, with word-of-mouth referrals growing and a reputation for quality and communication spreading across the region. As Jay puts it, almost everyone in the Whitsundays seems to own a boat, and every boat needs a shed.
